The International HACCP Association of Nigeria (IHAN) was founded in 2018 to assist the federal government and the states in preparing for the mandatory national HACCP-food safety and hygiene initiative.
The objective is to focus on standardizing HACCP training efforts, developing a uniform position for the implementation of HACCP, and collaborative efforts with NAFDAC, SON, other states agencies and the international community.
The IHAN recognizes the importance of food safety as a critical component of both public health and economic growth. Therefore, our goal is to facilitate the uniform development and implementation of HACCP programme from farm to table. To accomplish this goal, the International HACCP Association Of Nigeria(IHAN), provides a forum where issues are deliberated and resolved uniformly to assure that food safety plans are effective and sufficient throughout the entire commercial food chain system.
Working together, IHAN members, representing broad range of professions, help the association achieve its mission through networking, referrals, educational programs, journals, career opportunities and numerous other resources. This Web site is a resource for members as well as non-members who want to join us in making a difference in the public health of our nation.
